NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — She's a teacher that's plays a huge role in the "STAE" (Striving to Achieve Excellence) program at Laney High School, which helps gear up students to move on to four-year universities after graduating.

One student who nominating Mrs. Tracy Hall says she's a big reason why he's been able to become more disciplined and develop into a mature adult. 

We headed out to Laney High School with Tim Buckley for this week's Teacher of the Week.
