WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Hemenway Center may have been renamed and renovated a few times, but it’s served the community for years.

The Center has called McRae Street home since the 90’s, serving the community with events, classes and other resources for anyone who needs them.

Since the Wilmington Police Department joined forces with recreation staff there, organizers want to get the word out about the things they now offer.

Community Resource Coordinator, Linda Rawley, stopped by Good Morning Carolina to let the community know about an open house they’re holding at the Center to get the community involved.
