RALEIGH, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — April Solomon, a dry cleaner from Whiteville, claimed the $200,000 top prize she won playing Power 7s on Monday afternoon.

She scratched off her winning ticket at Hill’s Food Store on JK Powell Boulevard in Whiteville, where she made her lucky purchase.

“I was standing there, and I just froze,” Solomon said. “It was a shocker.”

After taxes were withheld, Solomon received a check for $136,001. As of Tuesday morning, two top prizes remain to be claimed in the Power 7s game.
