WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — You may have seen some interesting signs around New Hanover County lately, but despite what you may think, they’re not for a political campaign.

Life Community Church placed hundreds of signs around the community to spread the message about its new initiative, ‘The Love Revolution.’

The non-denominational church in the Independence Mall is challenging people to do acts of kindness for others.

Pastor Tim Blevins says his aim is for his congregation to do a total of 10,000 acts of kindness.

Blevins said, “We read in scripture in John 15:12 that in the same way we have received God’s love, we should give it to others. And so basically we decided, let’s find a way that we can get our church and city mobilized in doing kind acts for other people.”

Life Community Church will kick off the initiative on Easter Sunday.
