WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The home of John and Jan Best features a beautiful backyard highlighted by a gorgeous oak tree.

Paths walk you through flower beds toward a new greenhouse and a sitting area. The great sitting area is arranged around a fire pit made of bricks that come from an old Wilmington street.

The yard is spacious now, but it used to be completely wooded.

"We took out about 30 trees," says garden owner Jan Best. "We wanted to give the oak tree more room to grow."
