SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) - A Mocksville man is in jail after going to great lengths to try and hide the drugs he was carrying.
The Salisbury Post reports (http://bit.ly/ZCx58l) 27-year-old Dennis Monroe Alexander faces several charges, including simple possession and driving with a revoked license.
Police said when they stopped the car, the driver gave them a different name from what their information showed, and that the car belonged to his cousin.
Authorities said officers asked the man to step out of the car, and when he did, pills fell from his pants legs and more were found in his socks. The man complained of chest pains and was taken to a hospital, where an x-ray and enema revealed more hidden drugs.
Alexander remains in the Rowan County jail under a $32,500 secured bond.
