WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A stop on the Azalea Festival Historic Home Tour is a building originally built as a grocery store.
The J.W. Brooks Building is now a fine home for one Wilmington couple.
You might be used to seeing the Brooks Building as a retail center, but upstairs there are some great two-story townhomes.
Bill and Kathyrn Graham have kept their home close to original with a few original touches. The home overlooks the river, and you just never know what might sail past the window.
The Grahams say they love the downtown location.
“We’re just a hundred yards for the heart of water and market, where everything happens in this town; from the farmers market to all of the friday night shows and the fireworks. So it’s great fun to be here,” Bill Graham said.
Visit the home in the J.W. Brooks Building at 18 Water Street on this year’s Azalea Festival Historic Home Tour Saturday and Sunday.
