BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation will host a golf tournament to benefit the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter.

This year's Closer to Home Golf Classic to be on Thursday, May 16 at Cape Fear National in Brunswick Forest. There will be a putting contest, then a shotgun start at 10 a.m..  After the tournament, participants can enjoy cocktails and dinner.

The $600 team registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart use, lunch, beverages, a Southern-style buffet dinner and awards.

The Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation is an organization that promotes and supports the mission of Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter through charitable gifts, events, and a perpetual endowment.

    For fees, cart, dinner and cocktails?
    That’s not a bad deal !

    And when you consider that this will lead to a target rich DWI environment the Sheriffs office could make up for budget shortfalls by pulling all participants over on Hwy 17 after they leave……
