Suspect in NC strategists' stabbings indicted


RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The man accused in an attack on two North Carolina Democratic strategists has been indicted.

An indictment handed down against Jonathan Wayne Broyhill on Monday came as authorities released details of a search warrant which say he admitted his involvement in the incident.

Broyhill is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Jamie Hahn on April 22. He is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury after attacking Nation Hahn in the couple's Raleigh home.

The warrant says Broyhill told investigators that he brought the weapon from his home when he visited the couple that day. In an affidavit accompanying a warrant, a detective wrote: "The suspect was interviewed and admitted to his involvement in the crime . . ."
