WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A restaurant with locations in Carolina Beach and Wilmington is getting some national attention.

“Coastal Living” magazine included Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar on its list of “Our 22 Favorite Seafood Dives.”

“You know you’re going to have a good time when the menu arrives printed on a piece of cardboard from a beer carton,” the magazine writes in its review.

Shuckin’ Shack is the only North Carolina eatery on the list, which is broken down into five regions: West Coast, Gulf Coast, Atlantic Coast, Northeast Atlantic Coast and Other Coasts.

Anyone who has been to either of the “Shuck and Shack” locations can tell you they serve up great food, hot oysters, cold beers, great drinks and super service. Owners Sean and Matt are too outstanding people who put customers and the quality of food they serve first. Since opening their first location in Carolina Beach they have become a hotspot for locals and visitors to Carolina Beach and now they serve up the same great food and service in downtown Wilmington.

Everyone in our community loves the owners and their staff and appreciates all they to support local community events and our charities.

Congratulations you guys have earned this recognition…..

Nice compliment Mayor and I agree that it is well deserved for the business, they really are “too outstanding people”, but their business name is “Shuckin’ Shack” unless I have problems with interpreting their signage.
