BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Former Brunswick County Commissioner Charles Warren has dropped his lawsuit against other commissioners and county staff.

Warren sent the US District Court Clerk a letter filed March 29 requesting the suit be dropped and thanking the clerk’s office for their help with the matter.

Warren based his suit on claims of public embarrassment and violations of personnel system laws.

Reached by phone this afternoon, Warren would not comment on his decision to withdraw the suit.

because he couldn’t get his lawyer to stop laughing.

As to his claims of public embarrassment; I think it’s safe to say that everyone claims he’s a public embarrassment.

the lawyer stopped laughing when he realized Mr. Warren could not pay his legal bills.

Mr. Warren learned the state NAACP was not going to pay his legal expenses.

That meant a significant hot on Mr. Warren’s check book.

Thus, the case was dropped.

Hey Warren, now that you have failed in your lawsuit, how about quit impersonating a brunswick county official, turn in your taxpayer payed for clothing!
