CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The advance of Tropical Storm Andrea has washed out tonight’s entertainment scheduled for the Carolina Beach Boardwalk.

The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce has canceled its weekly Fireworks by the Sea and Boardwalk Blast Music.

The pyrotechnics won’t go to waste, though. They’ll be part of a double fireworks show next Thursday at 9 p.m. following music from the Mark Roberts Band at the gazebo starting at 6:30 p.m.

It would simply look like fireworks through raindrops…with a possibility of the wind carrying some sparks to a nearby gas station and then…Bada Bing!
That’s how it would look :-)

Always wanted to see what fireworks would look like if set off during a tropical storm. Outside of the occasional structural fire, they’d probably be fascinating to watch. :-)
