WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority says a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the South Forest Hills section of Wilmington will continue through Tuesday.

CFPUA crews have completed repairs to three water main breaks that happened Monday morning, but say the advisory will continue for another 24-hours.

Customers in the following areas may experience periods of low or no pressure: the 1900 through 2000 blocks of Dawson Street Extension, including Trolley Path, and the 2200 through 2400 blocks of Wrightsville Avenue.

Periods of low or no pressure elevate the risk bacteria getting into the water system. CFPUA advises residents in those areas to boil water for at least one minute before consumption.

It was all over the media and CFPUA responded quickly.
Question – wasn’t this area recently re-piped for water lines?

I’m sure Mike McGill will be here shortly with :
“Mike McGill from CFPUA here…..yadda yadda yadda………..”

The ‘repiping’ was a storm drain project by the city of Wilmington.

Thanks. I knew they had done some work in the area but didn’t remember who or what.

Vog…first you want to call the CFPUA CCO out with blah blah blah…then say you don’t recall who was doing what? Seriously disappointed. He is the first real CCO they have ever had. What you call blah blah blah, I see it as responding to customer comments, and refuting BS.

Lot of folks think they are experts at everything, a few are experts at the things they do for living. On here…the rest are critics.

Are you Siskel, or Ebert (God rest their souls)?

I was on your side on the baseball thing…that doesn’t qualify you as an expert on everything…
