WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach house that traveled up the Intracoastal Waterway yesterday by barge finished its journey by truck today.

The NC Coastal Federation has been working on this project for a year. It will soon be able to call the Palmgren-O’Quinn house home.

The home originally sat on South Channel Drive. It now sits in the town’s historic square on Harbor Island.

So glad our family home has a resting place. My grandparents would love the beach house will be preserved and used for education!
