A manager at Cree Inc., who once introduced then-presidential candidate Sen. Barrack Obama during a 2008 visit to the Durham-based company, is facing drug trafficking charges.

David Matthew Jones of Wake Forest was arrested Sunday night by Raleigh police and charged with felony trafficking methamphetamine and conspiring to traffick methamphetamine.

Details surrounding the 40 year old's arrest have not been released. An arrest warrant obtained by ABC11 filed by Raleigh police June 23 alleges Jones and another man transported less than 200 grams of meth.

This slant added to the title of the article to call this man a” friend” of President Obama’s. It reminds me of the picture of President Jimmy Carter’s wife Rosalynn shaking hands with John Wayne Gacy; they weren’t “friends” either. It seems like a underhanded jab at the President.
