McCrory to celebrate transportation money overhaul

RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- Gov. Pat McCrory will celebrate one of his policy achievements at the General Assembly with North Carolina legislative leaders at his side.

McCrory planned Wednesday to sign a bill into law that creates a new distribution method for state and federal transportation dollars that is designed to relieve traffic congestion and emphasize statewide and regional projects.

House Speaker Thom Tillis and Senate leader Phil Berger were expected to attend. They endorsed McCrory's concept back in April that focused less on doling out funds equally to all highway divisions. The Strategic Mobility Formula will award projects that are ranked highest by the state Department of Transportation.

McCrory had made transportation funding one of a handful of policy changes he wants the legislature to approve before this year's session ends.

Where's McCrory's celebration on this?

Let's celebrate another one that got away.
It would appear as though Smirkey's Commerce Sec is asleep at the wheel as was Smileys Sec.
Decker missed out on this opportunity:

The Connecticut law was passed in april.
Given the condition of the local manufacturing economy this company would have been worthy of a load of incentives.
Not a peep out of the McCrory Admin about going after this company.

Is this strike 2 SC Tom?
