WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We invite you to follow WWAY Sports on Twitter @WWAYSports.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Hoggard High School has a rich tradition when it comes to kickers. A lot of that tradition starts with Tom Barth. He’s the father of Connor and Casey Barth. Casey is the all-time leading scorer at UNC. Older brother Connor is the kicker for the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On Saturday the Barths held their first ever free football clinic in the Port City. Casey said told WWAY “It’s always interesting to share what you know with people and you get to see how your coaching ability kinda goes, especially with the different age groups. I love it it’s fun. It’s nice to share what I’ve learned over the years with kids who are growing up.

Connor Barth not only talks a good game. He was more than willing to demonstate his kicking ability in front of 65 clinic participants. “It’s awesome to see guys come out who want to kick, punt and snap.I’m lucky to have a lot of good friends who played at Hoggard or who are still at Hoggard helping out today. I can’t thank them enough along with my mom and dad and my brother. We kinda want to make this a continual thing every year. It’ll always be free for the kids who come out to work out their craft. Maybe one day we’ll see them do what we’ve been doing.”
