WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say they are looking for a white SUV they think is connected to a shooting yesterday.

Investigators say a 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after someone shot him in the leg at 12th and Grace Streets around 4 p.m. Investigators found six shell casings at the scene.

Police say they responded after a ShotSpotter report and a call about someone being shot. Witnesses told officers the boy was standing on the corner when a SUV, maybe a white Ford Expedition, pulled up. Witnesses said a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks, opened fire while standing up in the sunroof.

Police say the the victim is not cooperating with them.

If you have any information, call police.

Aw, come on folks. Have a

Aw, come on folks. Have a heart. These shooters just didn't know about the "ceasefire". Maybe they will hear about it at prayer meeting this Wednesday night.
All you anti-second amendment folks: During all the gunfire this weekend and holiday, my guns stayed at home and never fired a shot, never killed or wounded a soul. Why will I be punished if you have your way. Punish (quickly and severely) the actual shooters. I would bet real money that the guns used in the shootings were not legally purchased by the shooters. Any takers????

Didn't we just spend $10

Didn't we just spend $10 million in Creekwood ? Maybe we need to tell them about the "90 Day Ceasefire".

Maybe more cops in Creekwood ? Wait a minute, That 6 block area, already drains 40% of the resources, from the Police Department, as it is.

The real solution..... Stop paying 16 year old girls to get pregnant, out of wedlock, and have as many babies as they can. All these 'Gang-Banging' thugs, are living for free, in Creekwood, with their teenage GFs. On our dime. These Federal Programs, and giveaways, are creating this problem, and destroying our Inner-City.

Where, exactly, are you

Where, exactly, are you obtaining your facts? Your entire post screams ignorance! Since when is 12th St in Creekwood? When were you elected as the WPD finance officer? WHY is it the responsibility of the city of Wilmington to stop teenagers from getting pregnant?
The real solution...STOP blaming everyone else for the problems created by the ignorant by acting ignorant. You don't want federal funding going toward the programs you're so against? Well, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! Run for office, stop voting for idiots, sign up to teach kids how to be a functioning human being. Hell, even being a vigilante sitting in your window protecting your own neighborhood would be more productive than being an ignorant ass.
Too much work for you? I can tell. You'd rather sit in your little hole casting judgement wherever you think it should fit.

Perfectly said

Creekwood is a petri dish example of the misguided experiment of welfare. Maybe we can send them to Mexico for the 11+million illegal immigrants that have invaded our country? I think that would be a fair trade.
