CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – Law enforcement officials in Iredell County say 10 people have been arrested in connection with a two-month investigation into alleged burglary and counterfeiting operations.
The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/12i9hT7) a man identified by authorities as the central figure in the investigation was captured in a wooded area near Mooresville late last month. Six of those charged in the case are accused by sheriff’s deputies of harboring a fugitive.
Iredell County sheriff Phil Redmond said 26-year-old Joshua Andrew Moore of Statesville is facing a variety of charges, including 29 felony counts of breaking and entering, possession of counterfeit currency and failing to register as a sex offender.
Moore is jailed under $600,000 bond. It couldn’t be determined Wednesday if he has an attorney.
