WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — While South Carolina’s Mark Sanford has made his political comeback and Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer work on their in New York, it could take a while for the Tar Heel State to elect John Edwards to office again.

A Raleigh-based Public Policy Polling survey shows just 15 percent of North Carolina voters have a favorable opinion of Edwards to 67 percent with a negative one of the former senator and vice presidential candidate. That is up from a year ago when only 11 percent had a favorable compared to 73 percent with an unfavorable opinon.

Two-thirds of voters say they would rule out the possibility of voting for Edwards in the future. Meanwhile 19 percent are open to the idea.

The Dems/libs will forgive him and make him a hero just like murderer Ted Kennedy, perjurer/womanizer Clinton, and the rest of the list of liars/womanizers/perverts that the democrat party protects.

  • ChefnSurf says:

Of that 19 percent that were open to the idea:

    – 75% of them admitted to being asleep at the time of that thought
    – 10% of them when asked again realized they had misheard the question
    – 8% of them just like pure evil and John’s their type of guy
    – 6% also believe that tuna actually live in those little cans and are harvested by boats that use giant magnets.
    – 1% had no familiarity with the English language.

Unless he’s planning on another run for some office, I fail to see why this survey was taken in the first place. Perhaps some smart reporter in some big city news organization can find that out for us.

It’s amazing how people waste money like that. I agree with what you said, and I LOVE the one about the tuna.

Dubya wasn’t a womanizing, sleazebag liar. Nixon got what he deserved. Regan did more for this country and it’s people than any other president in my lifetime and maintained a life of true intergrity. THAT’s why I forgot.

Clinton and Obama (along with Edwards) on the other hand will be forever remembered for their self serving, narcissitic attitudes that have very little to do with the advancement of the nation or the people they lead.

Some things are easily forgotten, some aren’t.

Iran-Contra, raising taxes as a percentage of GNP more than any other president ever, the biggest tax and spend president ever. These things are part of the legacy of Reagan. And he lied.
Dubya started a war that should not have been causing countless lives to be lost and tens of thousands wounded and wrecked the economy in the process. And he is a world class liar.
I’ll take someone cheting on his wife anytime over those two clowns.

Hellooo, G-O-M where are you? Guestman is right, any rebuttal? Hellooo!!!

  • PublicAvenger says:

He’s a hustling, low-life, womanizing, fake, a pure disgrace, coward. A great shame, to our great state.

  • Guest1313 says:

Of course, he’s a democrat. He fits right in with the rest of them.

  • guesty says:

If 19% are open to the idea of being represented by this scum, those 19% are idiots.

  • Vog46 says:

The voters here are very unforgiving. This is not always a bad thing either.
John Edwards cheated on a woman who was battling cancer and a lot of the cancer battle is psychological – trying to maintain positive spirits.
John destroyed his wife and she then died.
Anthony Weiner and Elliott Spitzer’s wives are alive and moving on in life so people tend to look at that as a reason for THEM to forgive these adulterers.
John does not have that person – so people won’t forgive.
Nor should they. I would be surprised if I live to see him in politics again.
Mark Sanford is the same – his wife moved on so the general public believe they should as well.
For me personally? Edwards was too liberal for me politically and as an adulterer he’s lost my respect as a man.
He should stay an ambulance chasing lawyer – for some reason it seems fitting for him

  • Guest2020 says:

I didn’t vote for him before and I sure will not vote for him now. If nothing else, it shows that a majority of the people in North Carolina have a little more sense than South Carolina and New York.

  • Guest-o-matic says:

…yet another! But HEY! The American people were the ones that elected Bill Clinton and Obama to second term presidential seats. There is no better proof that ANYTHING can happen at election time, even putting this slimey, sleaze-bag back into power!

  • GuestMan. says:

that the people also elected Dubya to two terms. Don’t forget Nixon or Reagan either. Reagan didn’t even know where he was for half of his second term.

  • Guest22 says:

Weiner, Spitzer, and Edwards can shovel some Donkey Dung like the rest of us.
