Bust leads to $130,000 worth of heroin

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office says a month-long investigation netted more than 3,200 bags of heroin with a street value of $130,000.

Vice and Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 905 North 5th St. last week. In the home detectives found 3,250 bags of heroin.

Detectives arrested John Scott Hudson and Travis Lee Angel and cited Rebecca C. Maxwell.

Hudson, 40, is charged with trafficking heroin, conspiracy to traffic heroin, possession with intent to sell and distribute heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Angel, 39, trafficking heroin, conspiracy to traffic heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Maxwell, 43, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
