WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police say they are looking for the driver of a stolen car who crashed into another vehicle, injuring two others in Wilmington.

It happened in the 1800 block of Castle Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say when they responded to the scene of the hit-and-run, two people were transported to the hospital for injuries.

The driver and passenger who were hurt told police that the driver of the Acura that hit them jumped out of the car and took off running after the crash.

The victims were not able to get a description of the suspect, but police say when they ran the tags on the abandoned Acura, the car showed up stolen from Leland.

No word on the victims’ injuries, but police are investigating.

Hey, Guest Reply Reflux…. I thought that you were moving as of last month. Time for a reality check, you have left here so why are your words or comments of any consequence with respect to local news?

Best to you in Vegas where I am certain that you will NEVER encounter the corruption that prevails here in Wilmington.
