Police shut down illegal bar in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say they helped bust an illegal bar overnight.

WPD and Alcohol Law Enforcement served a search warrant at 510 S. 14th St. last night after getting numerous complaints from neighbors.

Police say they seized several video poker machines, a small amount of cocaine and a large amount of alcohol during the search.

Police arrested Aretha Session, 44, for possession of a video poker machine, maintain a dwelling for the purpose of keeping a controlled substance and selling alcohol without an ABC permit.

Andre Maurice Session, 49, is charged with selling alcohol without an ABC permit.

Andre just got out after like 3 years on July 3. He’s been at this since at least 1980. Jail ain’t working. Time to just give up, and throw away the key. I can guess what the answer for his “Next Custody Review” on 08/01/2013 will be.
