WILSON, NC (WWAY) — A ninth inning rally led Wilmington Post 10 to its second straight state title this afternoon.

Post 10 scored two runs in the top of final frame to grab a 3-2 victory over Kernersville. NC State signee Joe O’Donnell threw a complete game for Post 10 and struck out the side in the ninth to close things out.

Jack Faircloth hit a solo shot earlier in the game to open the scoring for the Port City squad.

WWAY’s John Rendleman was at the game in Wilson. We had coverage on our 6pm news. We’ll have even more at 11pm on our sports segment.

Congratulations to Post 10!
It’s awesome to see some coaches still know how to coach and win!
