WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The NC Department of Health and Human Services has fined several senior living facilities in Wilmington.
The Commons at Brightmore paid the state $20,000 for failing to secure bed railings and supervise residents at risk for falls. The fine came after a resident died from their injuries.
Pacifica Senior Living has been ordered to pay $7,000 after a female resident fell out of a second story window and was injured.
Spring Arbor of Wilmington was fined $4,000 for failing to immediately call police after a resident left the facility.
