WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – City Council unanimously approved a massive mixed-use project planned for South 17th Street on Tuesday.
The rezoning would accommodate a large development featuring offices, businesses and apartments.
Barclay West would be built on 300 acres on the north and south side of Independence Boulevard between South 17th
Street and Carolina Beach Road.
The land is owned by Cameron Properties Limited Partnership.
City Council will have to vote a second time before the rezoning is finalized.
