FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - A military court has seated the minimum number of jurors necessary to proceed with the court-martial of Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair.
The Fayetteville Observer reports (http://bit.ly/14B2ivf) a fifth juror was seated at Fort Bragg Thursday. The court needed at least five jurors, all generals, to try Sinclair.
Sinclair is a former deputy commander of the 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg. He is charged with forcible oral sodomy, other illegal sexual conduct, adultery, having inappropriate relationships with several women, fraud, disobeying orders and other misconduct.
Many of the charges are connected to a three-year affair Sinclair had with an Army captain under his command.
Testimony is scheduled to begin on Sept. 30.
