WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Children's Museum of Wilmington is getting muddy.
The 11th annual Mud Day kicked off this morning, with some of the messiest fun around.
Kids splashed around in mud pools, created mud masterpieces, and even covered themselves in mud; all without mom getting mad.
"It's something we don't normally get to do, so it's a good way to get out of the house for the day and have a little bit of fun," mom Alice Culpepper said.
Hoses are available for children to wash off all that mud before heading home.
The Children's Museum will continue Mud Day tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
