WILMINGTON, NC (StarNewsOnline.com) — A 4-year-old girl is safe after two men tried to abduct her Saturday in Wilmington, according to officials.

On Saturday, the girl was playing outside the Motown Mini Mart at 1230 S. 15th St. while her grandmother was shopping inside, said Linda Rawley, a Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman.

Shortly after 2 p.m., two men approached the girl. One of them said he lived in the woods and asked her if she wanted to go with them, Rawley said.
