WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Warrants have been issued for two of the co-owners of a sweepstakes parlor New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies busted last month.

Investigators say the men live out of state. James Monaghan was served Wednesday. Officials are still looking for Jimmy Gerodemos.

Analysts are also taking a closer look at the gaming computers that were being used.

“At this point, detectives are waiting for the forensic analysis of the computer itself and the analysis of that software to determine if there was indeed a violation of the statute or if it’s technically within the statute,” New Hanover County Sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Jason Augst said.

In an earlier story, we quoted local attorney Thomas Hicks, who represents the owners of the sweepstakes parlor that was shut down. Mr. Hicks is, of course, a lawyer doing his job in representing his clients. We did not mean to imply or suggest that in representing his clients, mr. Hicks did anything improper.
