McCrory defends big salaries to ex-campaign staff

READ MORE:

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory is defending the big government salaries and raises granted to two young Republicans who worked on his 2012 campaign.

McCrory told WNCN a pair of 24-year olds recently promoted to key senior positions at the Department of Health and Human Services are well qualified, despite having worked in state government only a few months. McCrory said both beat out older job candidates for their positions, adding that it would be wrong to discriminate against someone on the basis of age.

Matthew McKillip is paid $87,500 annually as the chief policy adviser to DHHS Secretary Aldona Wos. DHHS Communications Director Ricky Diaz is paid $85,000. Both are recent college graduates who worked on McCrory's 2012 campaign and transition team.

Gov.

And Pat's nose just keeps getting longer and longer......there are many, many people living on less than what these 2 got as raises. I guess the voters just didn't understand what jobs he was promising during the campaign.

Check

Outrageous pay raises for staff upon election?

Check

Screw the poor people out of unemployment bennys?

Check

Give jobs paying $85K per year to tow guys with zero zilch nada experience in DHHS matters?

Check

Might as well bring back Smiley
This guys a jerk. Things just don't change

Vog

Where are all the budget hawks and Tea Party people on this?????

Oh I forgot. wasteful government spending only matters if they are on the oother side of the political spectrum. Hiring inexperienced college grads for $80,000 a year is ok as long as you are not Democrat.

Tea Party Motto: "You can waste my money as long as you are Republican"

What this means is teachers

What this means is teachers should quit and get into politics.
