Men robbed at gunpoint on Darlington Ave.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say two men were robbed at gunpoint while walking home on Darlington Ave. early this morning.

Police say the men were heading home from Courts & Sports around 1:30 a.m., when one of them pulled out some money to see if they had enough for a cab. A few moments later as they walked in the 300 block of Darlington, the victims say three men approached them from the Frog Pond area and demanded their money. One of the suspects reportedly fired a shot in the air. One of the victims ran off toward Covil Ave., while the other with the money froze. He said the men took his money and ran off.

A police spokeswoman could not immediately provide a description of the suspects.

Men robbed at gunpoint

Gee I thought everyone was going to turn their guns in for $100 at the gun buy-back. Oh wait. That's only the good guys who turn in their guns. Besides, the crooks probably made more than $100.

"could not immediately provide a description"

Bet ya I could describe them!!!

The 'usual' suspects for that area.
