WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man Wilmington’s police chief called one of the city’s “worst offenders” made his first appearance in court this morning for a probation violation.

Rashawn Hines was convicted last week for resisting an officer. Investigators say that and a missed curfew violated his probation.

Hines is under a $500,000 bond and is due back in court next week.

The 19-year-old has been assigned a public defender.

He said he was gonna go to school. And he wanted another chance. So why didn’t we just drop it, like we’ve done so many times in the past. So what, if he’s acting cocky, and wearing gang colors, during his interview.

Now, he and his mom, feel he is being oppressed, and mistreated. If this robbing monster isn’t put away, for at least a few years, then don’t blame the cops, that violent robbery crimes, are on the rise.

Why are yall giving Rashawn a hard time. He was arrested, he was convicted, of robbery, now he says he’ll go to school. And his mom will keep an eye on him. He hasn’t killed anyone, so just leave him alone.
