BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two young women are charged with home invasions in Brunswick County, where some of the victims were young children.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says Jessica Joann Barnes, 18, and Brittany Nichole Watson, 21, both of Southport, are in jail under $500,000 bond each for first-degree robbery, second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The charges stem from multiple break-ins last week in Southport. In one, investigators say the suspects threatened a five-year-old child with a gun while stealing $1,500 in cash and an iPhone. In another, they says children ages 2, 3 and 5 were among the victims.

Deputies are also looking for Timothy Ne’Kos McMillan and Tiffany Parish of Wilmington in connection to the crimes.

If you have any information, call the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

brittany use to be my friend before all of this. it is so sad that she would have gotten herself involved with these types of people, she has a son who will be 4 in december and she wont be around to see it because she chose to hang out with those losers. i got her a job with me and everything so she could support her son and she threw it all out the window to be a little gangster. well now she sees where that type of life gets her. but, nobody has put any money on her canteen or picked up any of her telephone calls or even wrote her, so she knows what she did was wrong. she would never let anyone do anything like that with her son around, i dont see why it’s okay for her to do it with someone elses children around. jessica barnes was a terrible influence on her, and i told brittany numerous times to stop hanging out with her. i tried to help but obviously people like that do not want help until they’re already too far gone. im terribly sorry for anyone that these wretched people have caused problems for, they should have all gotten jobs and worked to get what they need, i know i do, and a huge majority of the rest of the world does too. people like that deserve to rot in jail.

These young ladies have ruined their lives for being lazy and stupid. This is our generation X to lazy to work so they steal what ever they want. All Americans should have a gun and start taking these scum bags out one at a time than maybe generation X will get the message.

You use the term Ladies loosely. These young woman have no understanding of what is expected of them to become ladies. Unfortunately at this time in their lives they probably do not care.
I hope they get the attention they need and not become better criminals in the system.

These two are considered to be generation Y. Gen X were born in the 1960’s until the early 80’s. From the early 80’s until just after the new millennium are Generation Y’s. Just saying…
