WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — While most of you may have enjoyed a sunny day on this Labor Day, a stray thunderstorm left one new hanover county home on fire.

Lightning hit the roof of this house in the 5200 block Masonboro Harbor Lane near the Intracoastal Waterway. Dispatch says the strike led to an attic fire.

Crews worked quickly to put it out.

No word on the extent of the damage.
