WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Crews continue to work on the September 11 Memorial at Wilmington’s Empie Park fire station.

Firefighters and other volunteers are working to get the memorial ready for its dedication Wednesday, which is the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. They’re planning to work around the clock right up to the dedication.

The ceremony is Wednesday at 6 p.m.
