WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Exactly one week after a judge reinstated Brian Berger, the once-ousted New Hanover County Commissioner walked back into the New Hanover County Government Center for his first agenda briefing since his amotion dismissal.

In his first meeting back Berger showed up about two minutes late.

During the 20-minute briefing he asked only one question and appeared disinterested as he texted on his phone.

After the meeting, Commissioner Jonathan Barfield welcomed Berger back to the board with a fist bump, but his fellow commissioners declined to talk.

Berger’s attorney Chris Anglin spoke on his behalf.

“He’s glad to have resumed his seat and he’s looking forward to resuming his work on behalf of the people of New Hanover County,” Anglin said. “He’s glad he was able to make the agenda meeting today, and he looks forward to filling out the remainder of his seat.”

Anglin says Berger has been keeping up with some county issues, but it will take him time to get back up to speed with all of the county business. He says for now he is glad the commission has not discussed the next step in the amotion process.

The voters who put this piece of garbage in office should have the right to vote revoked.

Can we do the same for Obama?

The answer is “no”. The greatest power we are given as citizens is the right to vote. As human beings, we get it wrong sometimes. People need to do a better job of being informed before we go to the polls. We also need to learn from our mistakes and strive to do better.

Keep him off of all boards and committees, monitor his expenses and let him sit on the sidelines texting away to his widdle heart’s content. When his term is up, the voters will toss him out. He’ll probably have to leave town as well because I don’t think there’s anyone crazy enough around here to give him a job.

Meanwhile ….. No more wasting taxpayer money on him ….. Oh yes, one more thing ….. GET BACK TO COUNTY BUSINESS YOU PHREAKING IDIOTS !!!
