WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police need help identifying a suspect who broke into a restaurant a few weeks ago and stole the cash register.

Surveillance video shows a male suspect trying to break-in to the cash register at the Grinders Coffee Café at 5032 Wrightsville Ave.

The crime happened around 10:38 p.m. on Saturday, August 24. An alarm on the business alerted police to the break-in. When officers arrived they found the front door glass was broken and a cinder block was laying inside the business. The suspect took the cash register.
