NC Commerce Secretary says small biz, exports keys to economic growth

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker was the guest speaker at a luncheon for business leaders in Wilmington hosted by the Cape Fear World Trade Association.

Decker says much of the growth in this economy is going to come from small and mid-sized businesses. She says these types of businesses will be able to grow by exporting their goods overseas.

"We know Wilmington's economy is beginning to show some signs of recovery," Decker said. "We are working to recruit major businesses to the state of North Carolina, including the Wilmington area."

Decker discussed a number of issues at today's luncheon, including the importance of international trade in the state and the opportunities available to exporters now.

Then the story says this:
"We are working to recruit major businesses to the state of North Carolina, including the Wilmington area"

So, which is it? Small businesses or major businesses Mary?
A bit of political double speak there, Mary? I suppose she's still better than her predecessor who vacationed while businesses chose other states to locate to.
But I thought the GOP would attract the "best and the brightest" to this administration. Instead we get double speak and over paid inexperienced kids at DHHS.........
