WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Police chiefs from around the Cape Fear region gathered today in Wrightsville Beach for their annual meeting to talk about law enforcement issues.

Wrightsville Beach Police Chief Daniel House is the regional director for the state’s Police Chiefs Association. House says meetings like today are beneficial because they allow all of the chiefs to get on the same page.

“Especially in shrinking budget times, being able to utilize peoples resources and assets and to be able to share yours and what you can do collectively to solve situations,” Chief House said.

House says the police chiefs association makes sure each agency is doing what it needs to be doing according to the law.
