FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – Fayetteville police say all three men charged in the slaying of a Rockingham man earlier this month are now in custody.
Authorities say 27-year-old Errol Williams was kidnapped at a gas station Sept. 1 and was forced at gunpoint to drive away. He was shot when he tried to escape.
The Fayetteville Observer reports that (http://bit.ly/15agCdY ) 21-year-old Joseph DeShawn Haskins of Fayetteville was arrested early Thursday during a traffic stop.
Earlier, 31-year-old Kelly Eugene Elliott was arrested in Conroe, Texas, and is being held pending extradition. Twenty-year-old Kourtney Terrell Reed was also arrested earlier in a St. Pauls house where he was hiding in the ceiling.
The three are charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and first-degree kidnapping. It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
