BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A high school teacher charged with cruelty to animals has been found not guilty, according to court documents.

Beke Lindsay was accused of not providing enough sustenance for poultry and turkeys used for educational research at South Brunswick High School.

A school district spokeswoman says Lindsay is still on paid leave as the district reviews the case.
