WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people are hospitalized after a car crash on Oleander Drive.

Investigators say the wreck happened when the driver of a mini van, 82-year-old Ruth Lee of Wilmington, failed to yield the right of way and hit Nicole Cannon, driving an orange pick-up truck.

They say the impact caused the van to crash into the building at 6209 Oleander Drive.

Police say the estimated damage to the building is more than $10,000.

Lee was charged with Failure to Yield the Right of Way.

No word on either drivers’ condition.
