WHA discusses CEO search, will meet with Creekwood residents tonight

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA) Board met this morning to continue discussions on finding a new leader and safety in its communities.

At a special meeting, they worked to draft a job description for their new CEO after firing Michael Krause after his latest DWI charge. The job description will include a detailed description of duties and responsabiltiies, as well as requirements for interviees. It will be available on their website as soon as its finalized.

Another important topic is how to combat violence in Section 8 housing after a string of shootings in neighborhoods like Creekwood.

"That's all being addressed by police," WHA Board Chair Jeff Hovis said. "This meeting is to talk about the hiring of a CEO, and we'll be talking about some of the situations at the locations."

WHA and WPD will hold an informational meeting for Creekwood residents at 6 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church at 2929 Princess Place Drive.

Are they meeting in Creekwood? Probably be a short meeting.

During the interview process

During the interview process they should take prospective candidates out for drinks and dinner. If they consume more than two drinks don't hire them.
