WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The 35th annual Riverfest has come to a close after a fun weekend of food, fireworks, and plenty of activities for the whole family.
The festival celebrated its 35th birthday by pulling out all the stops. From live music, arts and crafts, and children's activities to competitions, dancing, martial arts and more, Riverfest attendee John Munn says this year's festival was a huge success.
He says he brings his family to Riverfest every year, and enjoys all the festival has to offer.
"We've always loved it here,” Munn said. “We come pretty much every year, and they have a lot of different things out, so it's pretty cool. We like it, there's a lot of different people, we see a lot of friends here sometimes, so it's pretty nice. It's always a good time here."
Munn says his favorite part of the festival has to be the great food. He says although his wife does not like the selection, he enjoys a good turkey leg every once in a while.
