WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say around 3:30 p.m. ShotSpotter picked up multiple shots in the 500 block of S. 14th Street. That’s just a few blocks from New Hanover High School.

Officers responded and quickly determined no one was injured.

They do not know yet if the bullets hit anything.

You better believe the bullets hit “something”.

They always mention the schools when there is a shooting in the vicinity. I’m surprised they didn’t lock it down. If they locked down West Brunswick every time there was a gunshot nearby, they would be locking it down a lot. It seems that every afternoon, when I sat in the parking lot to wait to pick up my child, that there were gunshots in the woods nearby.
