Teen is second arrest made in Lilac Court murder

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A second suspect has been charged in connection to a Wilmington murder case.

Wilmington Police say Rammaj Walker, 17, was arrested last night on Farley Road by members of the US Marshals Task Force for the Oct. 1 death of Angelo Freeman.

Police say Walker and Nicholas Bannerman killed the 51-year-old Freeman in his Lilac Court home in a robbery that went bad.

Walker is in jail with no bond charged with murder, armed robbery, burglary, attempted arson, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery.

I can say i knew him personally and he had a good heart… he was funny very silly noone could stay mad at him for to long. he had that type of face that when he smiled his eyes smiled too (smiles) he was a good boy if you got to know him. Its sad that this society has driven all the young men into the jail systems and leave it to the families to suffer.. I knew Raamaj so I knew how he struggled find a job and stay in school but noone gave him a chance. I believe that this city can do better than failing our youth. There is no promising future, there is no guaranteed career so for a young boy who’s child was born only a few days before I don’t know what he was thinking but i feel his pain and I feel sympathetic for the mother raising her child alone she’s living her worse fearq
