WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Three Wilmington teens have been charged with planning to rob a pizza delivery driver.

Police conducted an under-cover operation Thursday evening around 9 p.m. and responded to a what they believed to be a bogus pizza delivery call for the 500 block of North 6th Street.

When the officer arrived as a delivery driver he was approached by three males. During the investigation officers discovered that the three teens had planned to rob the driver during the delivery. No robbery occurred.

Police arrested 18-year-old Jarell Murray, 18-year-old Jocqui Flowers and one 16-year-old. All three have been charged with Conspiring to Commit Common Law Robbery.

Flowers and Murray are both in the New Hanover County Jail under bond.

Kudos to WD for getting these fine, upstanding citizens where they belong. Their only regret is that they were caught!

These monsters would have recieved 7 mandatory years in prison, 40 years ago. Great job WPD. Stopping a crime, before it happened.

The sad fact is, today, nothing happens to these thugs. They will get a ‘Slap On the Wrist’. These thugs will have to rob and kill, several times, before they are even taken seriously, by the courts.

The joke is. The police arrest robbers, again and again. Then the media blames the Police, and the Sheriff. And demand they provide an answer.

The answer is Rashawn Hines, and hundreds of other thugs, like this, getting “Slaps On The Wrist”. Again and Again. That’s the reason for our Robbery Problem.
