Got Pumpkins?

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Halloween is just a couple weeks away. That means pumpkins were going fast at Wesley United Methodist Church off South College Road this weekend.

From tiny pumpkins at a buck a piece, to large pumpkins priced up to $20, folks picked the perfect pumpkin for their family.

One shopper took his little girl with him this year to pick her first pumpkin. He said the pumpkin patch will be a yearly tradition.

"It reminds me of growing up when I went with my parents to pick up our pumpkins," said father Brad Allen. Now, I'm doing it with her."

The pumpkin patch is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 A M until 7:00 P M, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 6:00 P M. You can pick your pumpkins through Halloween.

How is it a Christian Church promotes the sell of pumpkins which are a part of a Pagan holiday?

I was told on Saturday that

I was told on Saturday that they got the pumpkins from Mexico. Does anyone know if that is true? Thank you.
