WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police say a man who was choked until he passed out and then robbed, knew his attacker.

They say just before 3:30 a.m. Monday, a man was walking home in the 400 block of Anderson Street after going to a grocery store nearby when he passed another man that he knew.

That’s when police say the passerby then walked up from behind the man walking home and choked him until he was unconscious. Police say when the man who was attacked woke up, he noticed that his money had been stolen.

They say they know who the attacker is, and are still looking for him.
